I usually request only the audio files in the .wav format. This way, the recording software you used doesn’t matter, and things become much simpler. However, I can work with most major DAWs on the market, so I’m flexible. :)

Before sending your MIDI tracks, I suggest converting them to audio. This way, you can lock in the sounds you love. I don’t have every MIDI instrument available, so I might not have the exact sound you’re looking for.  Every DAW today has the power to turn a MIDI track into an audio track.

No, .wav files are too large to send via e-mail. You can use either DropBox, Google Drive, We Transfer or any other file-sharing service. Most have a free option to use. I personally use Sync.com and it works really well. 

Sure, I can help with that. If there are a few off-key notes, I’ll definitely fix them. But if the vocals are way out of tune, the song is not ready for mixing. Usually, re-recording and heavy tuning are done at the production level. If you need me to do all the tuning for you, there may be an up-charge for that but we can chat about it during our Zoom call.

No, I don't personally perform on artist recordings. However, I have a very talented multi-instrumentalist producer that I work with who can certainly help and record parts if you require that before mixing.  

I do this because I genuinely want us to have a face-to-face chat to make sure I fully grasp what you’re looking for and that we’re on the same page. Working solely through email just doesn’t cut it for me, and a lot gets lost in translation. I want both of us to feel at ease and make sure I’m the best person for your project. 

I take my client’s projects seriously and I’m eager to get to know you and understand what’s important to you as an artist. Our call together is completely free, even if you decide not to hire me after the initial chat. So there’s no risk to you. 

Once I send you a quote for the project and we both agree to move forward, I’ll send you an invoice. All invoices are paid in full before I start your project, unless we’ve made other arrangements during our 1-on-1 Zoom call together. Usually, if we’re working on less than 3 songs in a project, that would be paid in full before I start. But beyond that, we can figure out the payment arrangements. 

I will send you a high-resolution MP3 and .WAV files. Other files are also available if you need them. We can discuss that during our 1 on 1 call.

No. Unless a special request is made and agreed to before the start of the project. There may be an additional cost as well for stem files. 

If you want me to just process your stems through my console and outboard gear, that can be done as a separate service. See the website for current pricing. 

Sure thing! That’s part of the package I’ll send you. You’ll always get a version with and without the lead vocals.

Sorry, but I can’t help you with that. I mostly use outboard equipment and my SSL console for mixing, and that’s where the real magic happens. The session won’t be very useful to you.

Typically 2-3 days for you to get the mix from me. It depends on how many songs I am doing for you and the size of the sessions. We will discuss that during our 1 on 1 call. 

I’m super flexible on this. Usually, clients get back to me within 48 hours with any changes they need to make. But if you need more time, no worries at all. Just let me know and we’ll keep in touch! All I ask is that we keep the lines of communication open. :)

Once you sign off the final mix and I deliver those files to you, I start a new client project. I can "re-call" your session after the fact but it's an additional cost to do this.

I provide you 3 revisions as part of the mixing package so this situation does not need to come up. However, I realize that sometimes it's unavoidable and you need me to recall your session and make a change. I can do it but at an additional charge.
